Abstract

Adolescents are a group that is vulnerable to various forms of risky behaviour due to environmental influences, peer pressure and the development of information technology. A lack of knowledge about casual sexual relationships can increase the risk of behaviour that has a negative impact on adolescents’ physical, mental and social health. One of the necessary measures is health education on casual sexual relationships. This activity aimed to improve adolescents’ knowledge of healthy social behaviour through a health education session at State Vocational School No. 3, Buru Regency. The activity took place on 10 April 2026 and involved 54 students. The methods used included a lecture, supported by PowerPoint presentations, leaflets and a question-and-answer session. An evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants’ knowledge levels before and after the session. The data were analysed descriptively using frequency distributions and percentages. Before the session, the majority fell into the ‘sufficient’ category (57.4 percent); after the session, there was an increase in knowledge, with the ‘good’ category becoming the most dominant at 81.5 percent. These results indicate an increase in participants’ knowledge following the educational activity. Based on the above results, it can be concluded that health education on promiscuity is effective in increasing the knowledge of adolescents at State Vocational School 3, Buru Regency. Similar activities need to be carried out on an ongoing basis, involving schools, health workers and parents to support the development of healthy behaviours among adolescents.
